The Right And Wrong Way To Eat
Eating is a life long hobby for many humans and the primary hobby and vocation of almost every animal and creature. As humans, we sit at the top of the food chain and can therefore choose to eat whatever (and sometimes whoever) we like. But eating also has rules, especially when it comes to the way one eats and what one eats.
So Comedy Central has teamed up with Maxibon (the creators of everyone's favourite mutant ice cream sandwich hybrid) to look into the right and wrong way to eat. We felt the best way to explore this very intricate topic is to look at some case studies:
Popcorn with chopsticks:
It appears some people want to eat their popcorn with chopsticks... right? wrong? probably a bit of both. A good way to figure out the right and wrong is to think about why you would want to even do this to begin with. Don't like salty buttery fingers? Want to start a trend? Or are you just looking for a quirky new "vibe" for your house mates to "dig"...
If you do insist on eating your popcorn with chop sticks, try the popcorn fork:
Chocolate bar with a knife and fork (or any other confectionary/dessert):
Seinfeld brought this very peculiar habit to light in one of their episodes back in the 90s. But is it right or wrong? We feel it's right, not because it's a cleaner more 'civilised' way of eating but because one of the greatest sitcoms of all time made it cool... kind of.
If there's a wrong way to eat pizza, this might just be it... unless that was a cheese crust, in which case Comedy Central grants this person amnesty. This image has popped up across various sites on the interweb, but no one has ever asked who... or what... might have taken those very perfect even bites. Here are two theories: the person who took the bites is a bit OCD or the person who took those bits has a big cartoon mouth with four front teeth.
It's not just about the how... how-ever, but also the what...
Pizza Pizza Cake:
Happy birthday friend... the cake shop was closed, so the pizzeria down the street did us a solid. Blow out the candles, but don't bother wishing for a real cake...
War is never a good thing, and neither is a heart attack...
Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Doughnut Buns:
This is just a waste of doughnuts...
Grilled cheese cookie:
And a waste of cookies...
Time for a drink. A man walks into a bar...
Man: Hey mate, could I get a bloody mary thanks?... oh, and instead of an olive on one of the cocktail sticks... do you mind putting a burger?
Man: You know, a burger... an actual burger.
Bartender: That sounds wrong... but also right...
Man: Oh, and while you're at it... could you also put a pizza, small fries, a pastrami sandwich, chicken wings, a lemon, a lime, pickles, a chilli and another bloody mary on it?
The Eternal Maxibon Question:
All around Australia people have debated how to eat a Maxibon………..which side to crunch into, and which side to hold. To answer this question, we wanted to provide you with this instructional video:
So there you have it, the right and wrong way to eat... we hope you learned a thing or two. Yum!
Oh, we forgot to mention the 47 layer dip:
