Key & Peele Sketches That Could Be Feature Films (And Some That Already Are!)
Key and Peele sketches sometimes have production values which seem to be on par if not greater than some feature films. And sometimes it's not just the production value that qualifies them for the big screen, occasionally Key and Peele create ideas which in their own right may as well be full length feature films. Now that they're actually making films we thought we'd curate some tasty sketches from K&P which we think could make for some excellent viewing if stretched out to 90 minutes... maybe.
Although the premise for this "film" may not seem exciting on the surface, one musn't forget that any issue no matter how small, can become a high stakes game of cat, mouse and finger.
When it comes to production value, this redefines the limits of sketch comedy. The story here seems pretty straight forward, body snatching aliens are taking over. However, despite how advanced they are, they do seem ignorant about certain aspects of human culture and identity... a fresh twist on a tried and tested genre perhaps?
Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning
One can only imagine what Strike Force Eagle 1 and 2 were like, but SFG 3 is far from just a sketch. It's very clear what kind of "film" this sketch would be... in many ways, given the powers of the main character to snap necks, it technically qualifies as a super hero film.
The substitute teacher sketches have been included because, well, Paramount Pictures have greenlit the concept to be turned into a feature film (seriously.)
Finally, it would be fitting to include a trailer from another project which is an actual feature film that Key & Peele have made:
