Middle Manager Makes Another Excellent Decision
In a classic case of history repeating, Angus Stevens (a 53 year old middle manager at a large company) has made yet another excellent decision. Mr Stevens based his latest decision on long-term results, an appetite for change, and a capacity to take calculated risks.
Mr. Stevens was given the task of rolling out a project to reinvigorate the organisation and boost long-term revenue. His ability to understand the nature of innovation, market disruption, and consumer experience has resulted in a fundamentally great decision.
Mr. Stevens, who is on the whole pretty good at his job, is forward thinking enough for his superiors to be happy letting him carry on making great decisions. His team is made up of quality staff that constantly look to be creative and motivated.
“He’s an inspiration to us all.” said Jessica, a 26 year old employee who looks up to the generation above her own. “I believe in the fundamentals of this organisation and in Angus’s leadership”
Mr. Stevens and his secretary celebrated the latest plan with a go-get-em high five -- which counts for a lot under the harsh fluorescent lights of modern commerce.
“I think this latest set of decisions will bring big changes to our firm. Innovation boosts shareholder value, we’re doing new and exciting things! By managing costs in a realistic and pragmatic manner, with the long term in mind, we can think outside the box.”
Reports indicate that Mr. Stevens got the inspiration for his ideas by taking the time to reflect on the reality of how industry changes and a deep respect for staff, associates and the broader industry he works in. His research has equipped him with the attitude to help him sleep at night, knowing deep down, he’s doing a great job.
